Microneedling and Radiofrequency Microneedling

Microneedling is an anti-aging, collagen induction therapy for the face, neck and chest. By creating numerous microchannels on the surface of the skin, our body is stimulated to produce new collagen and revive the treatment site. The microchannels allow topical products, which supply necessary nutrients, to pass through the treatment area and rapidly improve the appearance of the skin.

We now also offer microneedling with radiofrequency (currently offered at our Eagle River location only). Microneedling with radiofrequency is a minimally invasive treatment to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, scarring and sagging skin. The addition of radiofrequency energy to the microneedling procedure helps to further stimulate the body's natural collagen and healing processes revealing firmer, rejuvenated skin.

In essence, the microchannels act as mini injuries, which prompt the skin into healing mode, stimulating collagen and elastin production. This process plumps the skin and improves the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars and pores.

Typically, a numbing cream is applied to the skin prior to treatment, and treatment time is approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Redness can be expected for a couple of days after treatment as a result of the skin stimulation. This subsides quickly as the healing begins and the results of glowing, more supple skin start to show.

To get truly effective results, it is beneficial to do more than one treatment. The recommendation is to do at least six treatments and then reassess. Treatments can be done four to six weeks apart.
